Meet Our Team

James Boyda, Licensed Professional Counselor (he/him)

Grounded, relational therapy for adults & couples in Portland, OR

“Again and again, we return to center, and from there, things begin to change.”

Hi, I’m James (“Jimmy”).

I work with adults and couples who want stronger relationships, a deeper understanding of themselves, and a life guided by what matters most.

With a background in education and family therapy, I help people work through trauma, grief, relationship conflict, sex and intimacy concerns, and major life transitions. Together, we’ll explore how your experiences have shaped the way you see yourself, relate to others, and navigate the world.

Drawing from mindfulness and trauma-informed practices, I’ll invite you to slow down and notice what’s happening in the present moment. As you develop greater self-awareness, you can create more choice in how you respond to life’s challenges and begin to shift patterns that no longer serve you.

Just as important, therapy can offer a different kind of relationship—one where you feel accepted and understood, with enough safety and support to take risks, try something new, and grow.

Rather than chasing quick fixes, we’ll focus on steady, meaningful progress. I’ll know we’ve done good work when you feel more at ease with yourself, secure in your relationships, and grounded in your values.

Collin King, Licensed Professional Counselor (he/him)

Therapy for self-understanding, emotional resilience, and meaningful change in Portland, OR

“When I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”

Hi, I’m Collin.

I provide a steady, supportive space for individual adults who want to better understand themselves, navigate difficult emotions, and change patterns that no longer serve them.

With a background in community mental health, I work with adults navigating complex trauma, life transitions, questions of meaning and purpose, and self-criticism or perfectionism.

I believe meaningful change begins with learning to understand and accept yourself more fully. Together, we'll explore the patterns and protective strategies that shape how you relate to yourself and others, helping you respond with greater flexibility, self-compassion, and intention.

My style is warm, collaborative, and insight-oriented. Years of clinical practice, specialized training in personality assessment, and experience in public health shape my understanding of the many factors that influence your well-being.

Our work together can help you trust yourself, approach life's challenges with greater resilience, and build a life that feels more aligned with what matters most to you.
